Probe ordered into Deepika Padukone obscenity case

Jodhpur: The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Aarif Mohammad has ordered probe into Deepika Padukone obscenity case. After hearing the complaint of Mukesh Pawar, the court has ordered Shastri Nagar police to investigate the case.

A complaint was filed against film actress Deepika Padukone in Jodhpur local court by a complainant alleging that the dance performed by the Bollywood actress in film song Dum Maro Dum has hurt people’s sentiments.

The complainant Panwar has alleged that filthy language and vulgar scenes in the theme song along with Hare Rama Hare Krishna have hurt people's sentiments. Panwar in his complaint said words with double meaning have been used in the film.

A case was registered against producer Ramesh Sippy, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, lyricist and other actors for hampering religious sentiments of people in Jodhpur court. They have been accused of using indecent language in the song.The complaint has been filed under sections 292, 293, 295 A, 298, 504, 509, 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
